GC PASS 800
Passivation for zinc die-cast surfaces
GC PASS 800 is a trivalent chromium-based post-dipping solution for zinc die-cast surfaces with high corrosion protection.
The materials to be coated are first passivated using GC MULTIPASS and the dipped in GC PASS 800. In doing so, GC PASS 800 penetrates into the passvation layer, filly the typical cracking process of Cr(III)-containing passivates, and cross-links optimally to the passivation layer in the subsequent drying process. This creates and additional protection barrier.
The resulting corrosion protection not only meets the highest requirements of the OEMs, it also surpasses them in most applications.
GC PASS 800 is not a sealant, and therefore can be used wherever sealants on zinc die-cast materials are not permitted.
The use on bulk goods and rack goods and the optical homogenisation of the passivated zinc die-cast surfaces underscore the special features of GC PASS 800.
